Tipplová, Eliška ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Dysmenorrhea and conservative approach to affect painful menstruation - questionnaire survey Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to use a questionnaire survey to obtain information on how often painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea) occurs in women. Following this, an analysis of this data will be carried out in order to assess the possibilities of influencing and preventing painful menstruation using conservative methods, especially exercise. Methods: For the theoretical part of the thesis, a literature review was carried out. research from various sources, including the libraries of the Faculty of Physical of Charles University and the 3rd Faculty of Medicine Charles University, English-language articles, studies and university theses from databases Web of Science, Pubmed, and Theses.cz. The practical part consists of questionnaires survey and subsequent data analysis together with the results. Results: The results of my research indicate that out of a total of 576 respondents aged 15 to 30 years, up to 78 % of women suffer from painful menstruation, which indicates a high prevalence of this problem in this population. An interesting finding is that of the sample of 162 women taking contraceptives, 73 % still experience pain during menstruation, suggesting that contraception may not be a...

Thesis Title: Menstrual cycle and efficiency of women tennis players. Thesis Objective: Based on structured interview to determine the re- lationships between the individual phases of the menstrual cycle and active sports activity in selected female tennis players (ČTS) ranking. Suggestion how to adapt tennis training individually to the menstrual cycle of female tennis players. Methods: The main research metod is structured interview. Results: Research has found, that there is a significant deterio- ration in the performance of female tennis players occurred during the first and the second day of menstruation. The best performances were felt by tennis players around ovulation (12th - 17th day of the cycle). The most common problem at female players was irregular menstruation an three tennis players also had amenorrhea, which is probably rela- ted to high training doses. For 4 respondents, there was a response that PMS did not affect their perfor- mance both in training and in matches. Other female players have fatigue and abdominal pain as a symptom of PMS. It has been shown, that female players do not adapt training if they have small pain, if they have big pain, they adapt training (for example playing strokes from the spot, technical skills). Four out of eight respondents use hormonal...
The role of the menstrual cycle and its synchronization in a relationship between two women
Nováková, Tereza ; Fanta, Michael (advisor) ; Fučík, Tomáš (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of menstrual synchronization and is designed as a theoretical-practical thesis. The theoretical part describes the physiological menstrual cycle, including its hormonal regulation and hormones involved in this control; all phases of the menstrual cycle and other cyclical changes that regularly occur in the female organism. The thesis also outlines the effect that psychological aspects may have on the character of the menstrual cycle and discusses in detail the issues of premenstrual syndrome and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. The theoretical part is concluded with a chapter focused on menstrual synchronization itself. The main aim of this thesis is to determine whether menstrual synchrony occurs in partner relationships. The sub-objectives of this thesis are to find out whether this synchronization occurs more frequently between female partners or cohabitants, after how long cohabitation synchronization occurs and what symptoms of premenstrual syndrome occur in the respondents. The practical part focuses on the role of menstruation and its synchronisation in the studied groups in the form of a questionnaire survey. The target group is lesbian women, the control group is cohabitants. The questionnaire was posted online on social media from January 1,...

Title: The effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sports Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sport using the results obtained from previous studies dealing with the effect of the menstrual cycle on performance in sport. Methods: This thesis was carried out as a systematic review. Sources of information were scientific articles and studies from the PubMed, Scopus, EBSCOhost and EBSCOhost databases and literature related to the influence of the menstrual cycle on sports performance. Results: A total of 45 studies were selected for this study (9 cross-sectional, 33 cohort and 3 intervention studies). A total of 3086 probands (2364 from cross-sectional, 644 from cohort and 78 from intervention studies) aged 18 to 35 years were included. Conclusion: In most cases, no effect of MC on sports performance was found. If any effect was observed, the worst phase of MC for performance appeared to be the mid-luteal phase, while the best was the follicular phase. Skalická, Františka ; Fabičovic, Klaudia (advisor) ; Novotná, Klára (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Františka Skalická Supervisor: Mgr. Klaudia Fabičovic Consultant: MUDr. Vendula Parmová Title of bachelor thesis: The influence of physiotherapy in irregular menstrual cycle Abstract: Menstrual cycle disorders are nowadays a very common problem for many women. These include dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, functional female sterility or luteal insufficiency. Their etiology may also be associated with musculoskeletal dysfunction. Luteal insufficiency is considered to be a luteal phase of less than 12 days. This condition may be one of the possible causes of infertility, but studies on this topic are lacking. The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the influence of luteal insufficiency using diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in physiotherapy. Three women with luteal insufficiency underwent individually tailored physiotherapy ongoing for 6 months with the aim of prolonging the luteal phase. The symptothermal method was used to objectify the length of the luteal phase before and after therapy, allowing easy and reliable control of the menstrual cycle and increasing the likelihood of conception through accurate timing of the fertile period. The main 4 pillars of therapy were postural correction, elimination of functional changes in the musculoskeletal system,...

Koukolíková, Magda ; Skřenková, Jana (advisor) ; Poncová, Renata (referee)
The menstrual cycle is a natural process in the life of almost every woman. For this reason, more emphasis should be placed on menstrual cycle education and awareness. Proper education about menstruation and the menstrual cycle positively affects the physical and mental health of the girl. Currently, there are many sources of information about menstruation and menstrual cycle, including books, magazines, websites, and mobile apps. However, it is important that girls have access to reliable sources of information to gain accurate and comprehensive information. This bachelor thesis is designed as a theoretical-practical work. The theoretical part describes the changes during the sexual matur of girls, the physiology and disorders of the menstrual cycle, intimate and menstrual hygiene and methods how to educate girls about the menstrual cycle. The practical part deals with the analysis of an anonymous questionnaire survey involving 106 girls in age between 11-15 years. Prior to the actual distribution of the questionnaires, informed consent for the survey was given to the legal representatives, and due to the young age of the respondents, the anonymity of the participants was mainteained. The questionnaire was divided into two parts. In the first part of the questionnaire, the girls' own experience of...
Principles of complex physiotherapy in childless women aged 20-40 years with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle
VÍTOVÁ, Alena
The topic of my bachelor´s thesis deals with principles of physiotherapy for childless women aged 20-40 with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle. The aim of this work is to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy for women with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle and their subsequent practical use, which is described in the kinesiological analyses of individual subjects. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with physiology and pathology of the menstrual cycle, the functional anatomy of the pelvic floor and the possibilities of therapy for menstrual disorders. The practical part is devoted to own research, in which three women with functional disorders of the menstrual cycle took part. In the practical part of the research, each subject underwent and initial kinesiology analysis and then an exercise unit was put together, which the participants practiced at home for two months. During this time frame, weekly appointments were scheduled for examination and follow-up therapy; the meetings were concluded by checking the exercises and adding new ones. At the end of the research, and output kinesiology analysis was performed, which was compared with the data obtained during the initial examination. The research can be considered beneficial, as it was possible to observe the positive effects of the therapy in all participants. However, for each woman the therapy had a different effect on solving menstrual problems. The word can serve physiotherapists and women who suffer from functional disorders of the menstrual cycle as a way to solve their problems other than pharmacologically.
